New Strap Design for FlipSidez Classic Style

Our first batch of the new FlipSidez Classic style straps are here and we can’t help but show them off. For 4 years now we had been using plain non-branded straps that left some customers wondering who made these awesome flip flops and where do I get them? All other flip-flop manufacturers brand their straps and we also needed to. Last fall we set out to design the perfect strap for the Classic FlipSidez. Nearly all flop flop brands have some kind of texture on their straps and we explored this idea. A number of designs were created and everything just looked gaudy. We wanted something simple and elegant that did not compromise the custom strap printing that some customers desire.

After several months of designing and re-designing we came up with a strap that met our criteria. The front center of the strap has our foot logo molded into it, half embossed and half debossed. The full flipsidez logo was debossed into the under side of the inner half of the strap. It does not scream our name or get in the way when printing custom designs on them. Additionally, the straps are a little thicker than previously, have a nice satin finish, and rounded edges that do anything but dig into your skin. We hate that. But we love these straps. The Classic just got better.

New FlipSidez Packaging

It’s Christmas in August! At least it feels that way. Our new flipsidez shipping boxes and bags are here! All 60,000 of them. We bought a lot…. But look how cool they are! Totally worth it.

While previously we used padded bubble mailers for our individual flip flop orders and boxes for larger orders, we’ve decided to pony up and invest in a nice shipping box for our smaller orders as well. In addition to the box, every pair of FlipSidez will now arrive packaged in a Flipsidez drawstring bag. These bags provide an extra level of protection during shipping and can be used well after they arrive. Great for taking your new FlipSidez to the beach and for carrying sea shells, or beer, your choice. We know a ton of our customers buy FlipSidez as presents and we thought the bags would make a great addition to an already awesome gift. For the rest of you lovely flip flop wearing folk, consider the new drawstring bags as our gift to you.

New Symbols and Fonts

We’re excited to share that new symbols and fonts have been created for our new site! We’ve been hard at work creating ponies, roses, frogs, dinosaurs, hats and all sorts of fun art that you can choose to imprint into the bottom of your pair. The site will also have new font options to choose for imprinting. Arial is our standard font but in addition to this we will be launching with the elegant Lucida Handwriting font for those that want a classier script look. We’ve found it works great for wedding designs. More fonts are to come shortly after launch and we continue to explore and build upon all that this site is capable of.

New Flipsidez website is nearly complete!

It feels like we’ve been saying this for over a year now (we have) but our new website is nearly complete! A long awaited and much needed upgrade from our prior site, our new website offers some exciting new design options for FlipSidez customers. Below is a screenshot of the awesome new Design Shop where customers can design their own pairs!

Pretty cool huh? Notice anything different about the flip flops in the two pictures above? Such as the explosion of colors?? We can explain:

Every pair of FlipSidez is individually made to order. Not many people know this but we can actually make different parts of each pair to be different colors. This is something you won’t find with other custom flip-flop manufacturers. The only problem was that for the longest time we did not have a site capable of allowing customers to choose their colors for the parts. This has finally been solved and here are the color options available:
The Classic Flipsidez style has 3 parts, and you can choose from up to 12 colors for each of the following: the strap, top sole layer, and bottom sole layer. For the Premium Sandal style customers can choose a color for the Upper, which includes the top sole layer and the strap, as well as the color for the bottom sole layer. The best part? You can still just buy one personalized pair.
